Tasmanian Bushland Garden Opening
The Tasmanian Bushland Garden was officially opened today.  Located on the Tasman Highway near Buckland, the display garden is designed to showcase the native flora of south eastern Tasmania.   More..
Sculptures by Tasmanian artists were on display, including some work by Sally Brown.

Public Art Commission
Newstead Residence in Launceston was officially opened today (a residential college for students of Newstead Polytechnic).  Sally was commissioned through the Tasmanian Art for Public Buildings Scheme to make part of the artwork for the new development.   This new work consists of ten pieces of outdoor furniture; three long, curved seating forms and seven smaller, arched, multifunctional forms.

Outdoor Living Workshop
Attended workshop with Danish furniture Designer Erling Christoffersen at Victoria University, Melbourne.  Participants designed and made outdoor furniture prototypes from Australian cedar and recycled plastic during the 2 day workshop.
