Much of the inspiration for my work comes from closely observing structures found in nature.  As the title suggests, these sculptural seating forms are evocative of fern fronds unfurling in a forest.  The spiralled, ribbed structure follows the form of these ancient plants, each element slightly larger than the next. This artwork is about growth.
